The rear sand dome above has the correct shape comprised of numerous compound surfaces. As you can see, the hatches open to expose the water rings that they seal against, the rings kept water from running into the dome and wetting the sand which would clog the sand traps. Also notice the air control lines to the sander valves. The boiler bands that are visible are individually applied just as they are on the prototype.
