The poster shown above was used in the promotion of the Lionel Smithsonian scale 2-rail Dreyfuss Hudson limited edition model. A signed edition of the poster was also included with each model when delivered to customers. A very limited number of these posters were also made available separately to Lionel customers for a short period of time. The poster was inspired by an original 1944 New York Central calendar distributed during the service era of the Dreyfuss Hudson locomotive, (click HERE to see the original calendar).

The poster shown above was used to promote a very limited edition scale 2-rail project offered by Lionel Trains, a German BR50 decopod. The model was a little known offering of the company and as a result, the model and poster alike have seldom ever been seen even by the most ardent collectors.
