The 'late' era locomotives had a number of changes or developments incorporated into their design among them were: new pilots, relocated steam turbines (generators), redesigned sander valve access panels, new 'blow down' systems and related piping and redesigned/engineered firebox sheeting. Detailed photos will follow that show many of these features as well as the characteristics related to the various production orders.
