Union Pacific 'Challenger' Passenger Paint Scheme

Road number 3977 shown in retirement located in North Platte, Nebraska wearing the two-tone gray passenger paint scheme. When 3977 was freshened up for display it was dressed with yellow stripes which was not correct for a Challenger, but it did represent the final passenger paint scheme. A number of Challenger models have been painted with yellow stripes and I suspect that was due to 3977 being painted in that manor although incorrect.
